Giving up Sugar for 14 Days

It’s been awhile since I have written an article on here mainly because I have been busy writing articles on my Geekscorner page. However, I decided to dip back in here to talk about my latest venture in trying to be more healthy and that is my giving up some sugar.


Now I am not ready to give up all foods that contain sugar as I don’t have the time to be checking all ingredients and spending out extra money for “healthy” versions of food. Instead I have decided to spend the next 14 days without eating sweets, chocolates, crisps, biscuits and sugar ridden cereal.

Now I have previously given up chocolate for a set time so I know I can do it which is why I wanted to take it a step further by adding some other foods into it. I plan on documenting my journey to see the effects that consuming sugar has had on me and the effects that giving it up will also have.

I know 14 days is not a massive time scale but given my reliance on these sugary treats it’s a good start.

Day 1

The first day has been pretty easy, work took my mind of it for several hours, however I have missed biscuits with my evening cup of tea, this is one of my weaknesses. I haven’t thrown all the biscuits out as I don’t want to make this too easy. So far all is good and so I will check in tomorrow for day 2.
